Plot

Mike Philippose, an innocent man with loud voice from Thopramkudy in Idukki lands in city to donate kidney to Menon,a scientist in usa who is haunted by his past memories. As we always see in most movies where the hero is being disliked by the most due to his irritating mannerism and at last understanding the real heart of him, this strategy has been used and developed in the first half and coming to second half the story moves in the backdrop of Menon, about his nostalgic memories and the real bondage of friendship .

MIKE : Steals the Show

After a long gap, Mammootty finally delivered a steller of performance as a villager with mind blowing easiness and marvelous timing. He actually transformed himself as mike Gopalan, a character which Mammootty can be really proud of. The ease with which he portrays a complex character into a simple one was truly amazing.

Other cast

Sasi kumar is simply brilliant and apt for the role. Gracy singh has nothing much to do like all our heroines and Salim Kumar, janardhanan and Suraj did their part well. I fear that our great comedian Jagathy has lost his timing and was disturbing at times.

Positives

Jayaraj always tried to keep a balance on how he wants to unfurl his story and the commercial aspect of cinema. The bond of friend ship between the lead character was well executed in the backdrop of humour. Coming to music department I should say this is the best backing score by Bijipal and “manginte maralla” is hummable. I don’t know who should be really credited for the song alliyambal whether to Bijipal or Jayaraj for his brilliant visuals or Job the real master behind the original. Anyway it was well gelled with the story. Guna the man behind the lens has captured the visuals with great grace and refreshing color tone has been made used.

Negatives

The main negative of the movie is the major positive of the movie, i.e sync sound which was irritating at times and sound was uneven.Also the first half had lots of slapstick comedies and were really crap. Editing was bad and the movie lacks pace though its length is only 2:15 minutes.

So all in all it’s a well executed movie that tells about human relations and nostalgic memories with top notch performance by lead actors.
